Youth Committee

The mission of Monee Township Youth Services is to provide facilities, programming and staffing to promote a safe environment for our youth to gather, to commune, to participate in positive activities and programs, to help themselves and each other and to benefit themselves of necessary resources.

The main goal of the MoneeTownship Youth Program: Is to implement, expand, coordinate, and evaluate the integrated educational, health, safety, cultural, and recreational services to the youth of Monee Township.

The Monee Township Youth Services provides family open gym at Governors State University, Sundays, 5:00p.m.to 9:00p.m.for ages 5 to 18. Families can enjoy indoor swimming, basketball, volleyball, racquetball and board games.

Future programs will include, tutoring services for grades K to 12,outreach prevention: (money management seminars, college awareness programs, youth peer groups, police intervention programs), and Madden Tournament.

The Township is always looking for volunteers to help chaperone the ongoing event. The Township, being very conscious of our responsibility to protect our Youth, has contracted with an agency to vet our volunteers with a quick background check.
